Jeff Colton
310S Technician, ASE Master Tech, Owner
Jeff began his apprenticeship with his father Frank, at the age of sixteen. He attended Conestoga College, Guelph trade school and became a licensed 310S Technician in 2009. Jeff is committed to providing honest advice, great customer service and quality workmanship. He works to understand his customer’s specific needs and provide the best possible advice and service customized to their vehicle and their budget. Jeff is a life-long learner, attending AutoAide Technical Training to keep up with the changes in the automotive industry and encourages his team to embrace the learning process. Jeff successfully completed eight levels of ASE certification program and has obtained his ASE Master Tech qualification, the highest-ranking certification in the auto repair industry. In 2018, Jeff was awarded second place in the Canadian Technician of the Year competition. Jeff has an enthusiastic interest in the automotive trade, an interest which led to one of his articles being published in the Canadian Technician magazine. When not at the shop, Jeff loves the game of hockey, ATV-ing, camping and fishing with his wife, Rebecca and their three kids, Kyle, Blake, and Brooklyn.
Frank Colton
310S and 310T Technician, Shop Foreman, Former Owner
Frank began his career in 1974, at the age of seventeen, working with his father, Howard Colton at Colton’s Garage. He completed his trade school at Centennial College in Scarborough and became a Certified 310S Auto Service Technician. Subsequently, Frank also became certified as a 310T Truck Technician. When it comes to vehicles, Frank has seen it all: carburetors to fuel injection; lead to unleaded fuels; mechanical linkages to electronic computer-controlled transmissions; bias ply to radial tires. Frank’s experience makes him a valuable member of the team not only for diagnosing and repairing vehicles but also in sharing his knowledge and experience with the other technicians.
Nate Ferris
310S Technician
Nate has been a valuable member of the Colton’s Team since 2014. Nate began working at the shop at the age of fourteen, cleaning and organizing the shop. Nate enrolled in and completed his apprenticeship training at Colton’s. Nate Attended Conestoga College for trade school, but due to the pandemic, much of his course training was completed online, which is not easy to accomplish. He became licensed in 2022. Nate takes pride in his work and is always learning. Nate attends AutoAide Technical Training to keep up with the changes to the automobile. Nate is known and loved by customers for the fantastic job he does in explaining the required repairs and maintenance. When not at the shop, Nate enjoys a good time with his family and friends. Nate enjoys snowmobiling, seadooing, golf and playing hockey!
Ethan Shipston
310S Technician
Ethan has been a valuable member of the Colton’s Team since 2015. Ethan commenced his apprenticeship at Colton’s Garage and completed his three trade school terms at Conestoga College in Guelph. He became licensed in 2019. Ethan believes in continuous learning and attends training courses with AutoAide Technical Training to keep up with the changes to the automobile. When it comes to imports or euro vehicles, Ethan is your man. He understands the automobile computer and performs much of the programming that is required at Colton’s. Ethan is a huge Mopar enthusiast. When Ethan is not at the shop, you can find him tinkering away with one of his Mopar vehicles, ATV-ing or travelling with his love, Jenny!
Kyle Mistlbachner
310S Technician Apprentice
Kyle has been a valuable member of the Colton’s Team since 2019. Kyle has completed his first level of trade school at Georgian College in Owen Sounds and is on track to be a fully licensed 310S Technician in 2023 . Kyle attends AutoAide Technical Training to keep up with changes and to satisfy is love of learning. In addition to his automotive skills, Kyle is also a talented welder and holds several certifications in welding. Kyle loves to take on the complex jobs. He is always reading and teaching himself new things. When not working hard at the shop, you can find Kyle working at home on one of his latest project vehicles. Kyle has built his own “10 second” car. He has mastered the LS engine and believes every vehicle should have one!
Robert Flear
310S Technician Apprentice
Rob has been a valuable member of the Colton’s Team since 2018. Rob joined the automotive trade later in life as a second career but that has not held him back. Rob has been “hands-on” with the automobile his whole life and he is not afraid to tackle the big jobs. Rob has completed two trade school terms at Georgian College in Owen Sound and is on schedule to be a fully licensed 310S Technician within the year. Rob is always eager to take on new challenges and learn new things. He attends AutoAide Technical Training to keep up with changes in the trade. Rob’s personal vehicle of choice is anything made from GM or Cadillac. When not working hard at the shop, Rob enjoys snowmobiling, ATV-ing, boating and spending quality time at the cottage with family and his love, Nina!
Maggie Page
Service Advisor
Maggie has been a valuable member of the Team at Colton’s since 2021. Maggie has completed Level 1 and 2 of the Auto Service Advisor Program from Centennial College. Maggie loves putting her strong organizational skills to work for the customer arranging repairs, maintenance, or towing. Maggie keeps everyone organized, inventory stocked, the service bays full and running efficiently. She works hard to accommodate customer requests when it works for them, not just when it works for us. When not at the shop, Maggie enjoys spending time on her spectacular patio, entertaining family, and friends. Maggie loves quality time with her husband Jamie and their four children!
